Scaling Trust: Designing a Safe and Human-Centered Messaging Experience

Targeting scamming tactics to prohibit from seller exploitation on the Etsy marketplace. I led the discovery, UX strategy, and design execution to create a targeted user experience which reduced scam message prevalence by 98% for new sellers within several weeks, thus hugely diminished the potential for loss of sellers personal funds through offsite scams.

​​Empowering Buyers: Designing a Seamless In-App Order Support Experience

In early 2024 Etsy changed its strategy to be more app forward, alongside with an eagerness to make the customer support experience more supportive when a user encounters order issues. I led the discovery, UX strategy and design execution of making the mweb support experience a native one, while also providing more clarity and guidance to the buyer in the support process. This native experience led to a +75.2% increase (4.8% baseline) in Help with Order request rate to sellers, and a +20.4% case rate increase (0.76% baseline) which led to buyers getting help for their order issues quicker than in the previous mweb experience.

Designing a Seller Verification Experience For Compliance

The Digital Services Act (DSA) and Inform Act are new laws designed to improve and secure the online world. Overall the laws ensures user safety, protects fundamental rights, and creates a fair and open online marketplace environment. I led the discovery, UX strategy and design execution of a brand new global seller compliance system to verify sellers on Etsy. Upon launch the experience scaled down initial non-compliance GMS risk for identified high volume sellers from $131M to $3M-$6M risk, thus enabling Etsy to retain 97% of GMS from an estimated population that accounts for $4.8B+ in GMS for Etsy.

From Scroll to Discovery: Designing an Engaging Sports Content Experience

Bleacher Report’s new overall product strategy was to help fans experience sports moments together by making it simple for them to discover and engage with sports content alongside their friends. I led the visual design discovery of the Fire tab to make it easier for users to discover shared spaces, live video, bets, and other content. This experience pushed forward top stories and highlighted community events like the shared spaces experiences to further fulfill the product strategy of helping sports fans experience sports together while staying on brand with Bleacher Reports visual boldness.
