I’m Aldina — a product designer who loves turning ambiguity into clarity.

I’ve led design work across complex, high-impact spaces—from Trust & Safety and Support experience at Etsy, to sports content and media publishing platforms at Bleacher Report and CNN.

My sweet spot?
Tackling messy, cross-functional problems that don’t have obvious owners—and designing intuitive, scalable systems that just work.

Whether I’m mapping out strategy, prototyping a scrappy idea, or fine-tuning micro-interactions, I bring a mix of systems thinking, visual craft, and cross-functional collaboration to every project.

What drives me:

  • Designing for people, not just personas

  • Asking “What’s the real problem here?” and digging deeper

  • Mentoring up-and-coming designers

  • Making complexity feel effortless for all stakeholders

Outside of work:

I’m an all around creative who finds inspiration in nature, travel, and the quiet beauty of Scandinavian design. I create pottery in my freetime at a local studio, and I’m also the owner of Fennhus — a cozy getaway house in Michigan where I reset and recharge and play around with my interior design musings.

Great design doesn’t happen in isolation—it thrives in collaboration. I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible teammates across product, engineering, and design, and their feedback reflects the impact I bring to teams.

Here are some of the kind words they’ve shared about my leadership, mentorship, and approach to solving complex design challenges.

“Aldina is an outstanding design leader who excels at tackling complex challenges and delivering clear, intuitive solutions. While working together at Etsy in the Trust & Safety space, I was continually impressed by her ability to untangle huge, intricate problems—whether it was mapping out complex infrastructures and architectures or crafting user-focused solutions that made the complex simple and intuitive.

She also has a real talent for advocating for design in spaces that truly need it, helping to establish a stronger design presence and pushing for design thinking to be part of the process. Her impact went beyond individual projects, as she worked to elevate the design culture and integrate better design practices across the board.”

Gary T. (Staff Product Designer)

“Aldina led design for our team at Etsy. She was a great partner to me as the engineering manager for the team. We worked on a very complicated cross-functional project, and she was essential to getting consensus with other teams, and delivering an elegant solution in a complicated system.”

Jeff N. (Senior Engineering Manager):

“What truly sets Aldina apart is her unwavering commitment to excellence in the face of ambiguity. Her keen eye for user-centric design and her ability to tackle challenges were nothing short of remarkable. I could always rely on her to untangle the most complex of user spaces thoughtfully and strategically, and communicate impactful solutions clearly.”
